Rio Tinto names Ian Bauert as China managing director

Ian Bauert has been appointed Rio Tinto's managing director in China as the Anglo-Australian miner seeks to mend relations with the country seven months after key Shanghai staff were detained by police.
Bauert, a fluent Mandarin speaker who founded Rio Tinto's first office in China 25 years ago, will manage 160 staff in Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai, Rio Tinto said.....
