Wire maker Tree Island upbeat despite wider ’09 loss

Tree Island Wire Income Fund closed 2009 in the red, but expects to see improvements as its inventories are in line with market demand and key markets seem to have bottomed out.
"2009 was the most challenging year in our history as residential construction markets reached a 50-year low and we faced significant financing risks in our business," Ted Leja, president and chief executive officer of Tree Island Industries Ltd. and a trustee of the fund, said. The fund holds a 100-percent interest in Tree Island Industries.....
