Boeing Charleston facility moves step closer to takeoff

Boeing Co.'s second final assembly facility for its new 787 Dreamliner is "taking shape" in North Charleston, S.C., as it moves toward startup next year, the company said.
The Chicago-based aerospace company has placed the first steel column for the new plant, which is critical for Boeing to meet its 787 production goal of 10 per month by late 2013.....
