Patriot Metals LLC has opened a full-line steel service center in Portland, Maine, and plans to open two more service centers within the next six months, according to James Post, president and chief executive officer.

Patriot Metals' new, 25,000-square-foot facility carries carbon, stainless and aluminum bars, shapes and sheet, and makes daily deliveries to all of Maine and the seacoast area of New Hampshire.

"We are leasing the facility in Portland, with an option on another 30,000 square feet connected to our building," Peter Brissette, vice president and general manager, said Thursday. "We are just starting up—setting up racks and receiving inventory, setting up a saw and a shear."....
