Wider spread in Chinese cobalt metal price sparks import interest

Some cobalt market players in China are considering importing the metal as the spread between international and domestic prices widens.
"The cost of cobalt metal importing is around 240,000 yuan ($35,149) per tonne now, which compares with cobalt metal prices of at least 278,000 yuan per tonne in China," a Shanghai-based trader said.....
