Copper scrap shipments to China facing delays

Copper scrap shipments bound for China are facing delays of up to three weeks due to tighter Customs inspections in response to alleged tax evasion, market sources said.

"We were expecting a pickup in China's copper scrap imports in light of rising copper prices. With the delays, however, we may have to wait for some time," a trader in Shenzhen said.....
