China's coking coal imports rise to a new high in July

China's coking coal imports climbed 7 percent to a fresh record high in July, but market participants say imports have probably passed their peak.

China imported 4.9 million tonnes, close to 10 times the level of July 2008, after its steel mills became desperate for material. Nearly two-thirds of the imports, or 3.2 million tonnes, came from Australia.....
