Quanex returns to black in fiscal 3d qtr. [UPDATE]

Quanex Building Products Corp. reported net income of $8.1 million for its fiscal third quarter ended July 31, down 7.7 percent from $8.8 million in the same period last year.
The Houston-based aluminum sheet producer and manufacturer of doors and windows returned to the black following a second-quarter loss of $40.1 million.
Third-quarter revenue of nearly $164 million was down 31.8 percent from $240.3 million in the year-ago period. However, the company saw a better-than-expected pickup in seasonal demand at its two operating groups, Engineered Products and Aluminum Sheet Products, which--together with an improved aluminum spread--bolstered its financial results.....
