A new plate and flat-rolled steel distributor will spring from the purchase of one California service center's assets by another.
The acquisition of certain assets of TPL Metals Corp., a Lake Forest, Calif.-based distributor of flat-rolled steel, by Angeles Steel Services will allow the merger of the latter company's service center business with that of a newly operational subsidiary, Get Steel Inc., according to Faruk Zia, president and chief executive officer of the Santa Fe Springs, Calif.-based distributor, processor and fabricator of plate and heavy hot-rolled coil....
