NY manufacturers see improving business conditions in September: survey

Business conditions for New York manufacturers continued to improve for a second straight month in September, according to the Empire State Manufacturing Survey, conducted by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
The survey results, released Tuesday, showed the general business conditions index increased to 18.9 in September from 12.1 in August, its highest level since late 2007. Nearly 39 percent of respondents reported better conditions compared with 30.3 percent in August.....
