Fisker gets $528M loan to develop hybrids

Fisker Automotive Inc. has been granted a conditional loan of $528 million by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to create affordable, fuel-efficient plug-in hybrid electric cars.

A majority of the low-interest loan will go toward the design, engineering and assembly of Fisker's next-generation plug-in hybrid, starting at about $39,900 after tax credits.....
