Metal price indices post September gains

Producer prices for all commodity metals rose in September, with copper and brass mill shapes leading the way, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The producer price index (PPI) for copper and brass mill shapes was 396.7 last month, up 10 percent from 360.7 in August but 2.2 percent below September 2008. The PPI for copper base scrap inched up 1.9 percent....
