Midwest recyclers handling appliances and vehicles face stiffer environmental enforcement of their handling of refrigerant chemicals.
"We've found significant non-compliance with the CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) regulations at scrapyards, which has caused us to take a closer look at the sector," a representative in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's regional office in Chicago told AMM.....
