The United Steelworkers union is standing behind a bill that supporters say will break down foreign barriers to exports and thus help create American jobs.
USW president Leo W. Gerard said the Trade Enforcement Priorities Act of 2009 (S.1982), introduced by Sen. Sherrod Brown (D., Ohio) and Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D., Mich.), is an effort to level the playing field for American manufacturers who ship goods to foreign markets. ....
