Teck shuts down lead smelter at Trail facility

Canadian base metals miner Teck Resources Ltd. has warned customers of a possible impact on lead shipments after the company temporarily shut down the lead smelter at its Trail facility in British Columbia.
Teck idled the main lead furnace Nov. 10, when some bricks inside the continuous drossing furnace, which separates copper from lead bullion, fell out of place, the Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said Wednesday.....
