LKQ gets nod to open Kansas auto storage yard

Commissioners in Shawnee County, Kansas, voted this week to rezone a former agricultural farm, allowing a major auto salvager to move to the site.

The zoning change from a residential reserve district to a light industrial district paves the way for LKQ Mid-America Auto Parts Inc., Topeka, Kan., to set up an automotive storage yard on....
