SMI calls for EU duties vs. China stainless

The European Union should impose sanctions on Chinese stainless steel exporters to prevent the European markets from being flooded with material, according to Wolfgang Lipp, managing director of Austrian consultants Steel Market Intelligence (SMI).

Chinese stainless exporters have continued with expansion plans despite falling demand, and as a result will try to dump excess material on global markets over the next four years, SMI predicted.....
