Carbon allowance prices continue to fall

Selling prices in a quarterly regional auction of carbon allowances closed 6.4 percent lower than the previous public sale and 36.5 percent lower than June's auction due to an ongoing oversupply of the units.
The results of the sixth auction were the lowest since the onset of the public sale that cumulatively has included more than 100 bidders and posted proceeds of $494 million.....
