Copper fabricators see slight demand rebound

December is gearing up to be a less painful month than players in the copper sector had forecast, with most fabricators reporting stability in a traditionally sluggish period and a few even experiencing pickups as the year draws to a close.
"Our business is holding up OK. Certainly, it's not as good as October was, but the days we're going to be running, we're going to be running strong," a source at a copper and brass fabricator said.
"The seasonal slowdown got rubbed out because everybody had depleted their inventories so low that they're forced to replenish, even with the holidays. Probably 80 percent (of customers) have come back with stronger buys here," he added. "We're counting our blessings, actually."....
