Low US ferrous scrap prices attracting Chinese buyers

China is buying more U.S. ferrous scrap as prices become competitive compared with shipments from Japan, industry sources said.

"Currently the U.S. traders' offer prices stand at $345 per tonne c.i.f. and the actual transacted prices are around $310 per tonne," a Beijing-based trader said.....
