Union a no-show for Voisey’s Bay contract talks

Brazilian miner Vale has ratcheted up the rhetoric, claiming that union officials failed to show up for a scheduled meeting to discuss a labor contract for the Voisey's Bay nickel mine in Canada.
Vale Inco's negotiating team were in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Monday morning prepared to begin negotiations, but the United Steelworkers union was not present, a Vale spokesman said.....
