Cambridge strikers ratify Ameristeel contract offer

Striking workers at Gerdau Ameristeel Corp.'s Cambridge, Ontario, merchant products mill have ratified the company's latest contract offer and will return to work shortly after the holiday. The union bargaining committee had recommended that members reject the offer.
"We are extremely pleased the union membership has ratified the new settlement offer," president and chief executive officer Mario Longhi said in a statement late Tuesday.....
