Cargill to take over Robinson Steel unit

Cargill Inc. has reached an agreement with Robinson Steel Co. Inc. to increase its investment in RPS Sheet and Plate by purchasing Robinson Steel's cold-reduction lines in East Chicago, Ind., and Granite City, Ill., the company said late Wednesday.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the transaction will result in Minneapolis-based Cargill taking over 100-percent ownership of Cargill Robinson LLC, a joint venture formed by Cargill and Robinson in 2007. The transaction is expected to be completed within 45 days.....
