Steel backs energy tax credit extension

The American Iron and Steel Institute, the United Steelworkers union and the Alliance for American Manufacturing are all backing an extension and expansion of the Advanced Energy Manufacturing Tax Credit that was included in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
The Obama administration said this week it wants to boost the tax credit to $5.4 billion.
The President, speaking Wednesday at a Home Depot store in Alexandria, Va., said that "clean energy can be a powerful engine" for lasting growth, job creation and opportunities to grow the middle class.....
