Ocean China suing supplier over scrap quality

A scrap metal exporter is suing a supplier for allegedly delivering what was supposed to be stainless steel scrap that instead turned out to be cast iron.

Ocean China Import & Export Trading Inc., Orlando, Fla., filed the lawsuit against Wright's Auto Parts & Metals LLC, Gates, Tenn., in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee

The buyer and exporter alleges that it received a pair of orders that didn't conform to specifications.

The first order involved used and defective golf club shafts. A Wright employee forwarded photographs of the shafts, with claims that they were composed of 30-percent nickel, 62-percent iron and 3-percent chromium, according to the court complaint.....
