World refined copper surplus falls in Sept.

The global refined copper surplus shrank in September as ongoing Chinese consumption failed to offset declinies elsewhere, according to preliminary data from the International Copper Study Group (ICSG).
The world refined copper market posted a seasonally adjusted surplus of 11,000 tonnes in September, down from a surplus of 76,000 tonnes the prior month. In the first nine months of the year, the market stood in deficit by about 50,000 tonnes vs. a 92,000-tonne deficit in the year-ago period. On a seasonally adjusted basis, that figure shifts to a surplus of 161,000....
