Beck Aluminum sues Argentine supplier

An aluminum ingot distributor is suing a longtime supplier for alleged breach of contract, claiming that it did not receive shipments because the producer found other customers willing to pay higher prices.

Beck Aluminum International, Mayfield Heights, Ohio, said in a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court for northeastern Ohio that it negotiated an annual contract with Aluar Aluminio Argentina SAIC during the fourth quarter of each year to limit its customers' exposure to raw material price risk as well as limit any potential supply risks.
