Wuhan, Anshan net up; costs surge

Wuhan Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. and Anshan Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. reported net income rose significantly in the first half of the year, though margins were hit by ballooning costs of steelmaking raw materials.
Higher prices for iron ore, coal and ferroalloys had shaved potential gains from increases in production and revenue, according to the companies—China's No. 4 and No. 5 producers, respectively.....
