O'Neal Steel Inc., a Birmingham, Ala.-based international service center chain, has appointed Rich Vanatsky as general manager of Asian operations for the company's High-Performance Metals Group (HPMG).

Vanatsky will manage the existing business and add new customers for high-performance metals in China, the company said. HPMG combines four O'Neal subsidiaries Aerodyne Alloys, Supply Dynamics, TW Metals and United Performance Metals.

The group supplies the high-performance/high-temperature metals market, including aerospace, power generation and petrochemical. Vanatsky was most recently director of the Cincinnati office for information technology and business solutions firm Tahoe Partners. He also has previously worked as director of material aggregation programs for Supply Dynamics and AIM International, and has held posts with Accenture and GE Aircraft Engines.
