Pipe, tube distributor riding out financial storm, for now

Orders keep rolling in for pipe and tube distributor BBL Co. despite the ongoing financial crisis, but where things will be three months from now is far less clear.
"People are concerned," Robert N. Rau Jr., president of the Kulpsville, Pa.-based company, said. "There is a deafening quietness, but the orders are still coming in."
While BBL's credit is in good shape, Rau questions how much longer his customers and average citizens will be able to hold out in the face of tightening credit markets. "Where does that Catch-22 kick in where they can't get credit or their customer can't get credit through really no fault of their own?" he asked. "Right now, it's kind of like you're in quicksand, but you're not....
