Smelters’ scrap tags still sliding; floor seen near

The pace of dropping aluminum scrap values at smelters might have left some heads spinning, but some market participants believe a market bottom might have finally been reached.
Mixed low copper clips are pegged at 42 to 43 cents a pound, down 8 cents in the past week, and old sheet and cast at 36 to 37 cents, down 5 cents. Both items have fallen more than 24 cents a pound since the start of the month....
