Aluminum alloy prices fall, defying last week’s LME rally

The latest price slide in scrap-based aluminum alloy defied a slight gain a week earlier in the equivalent contract on the London Metal Exchange—perhaps a portent of hitting bottom.
Spot sales of A380.1 alloy centered on a range of 86 to 87 cents a pound at midweek, down from 90 to 91 cents a week earlier.....
