Horsehead starts zinc dust recycling plant construction

Zinc recycler Horsehead Corp., a wholly owned unit of Horsehead Holding Corp., has begun construction of a zinc recycling facility in Barnwell County, S.C.
The new recycling facility will process electric-arc furnace dust, a zinc-containing waste produced by mini-mill steelmakers. The facility is expected to have a fully installed capacity of 180,000 tons per year.....
