US capable of supplying its energy needs researcher

Some 98 percent of U.S. natural gas demand can be met by supplies in North America, according to a research executive for a consulting practice, and domestic production in the continental U.S. is increasing.
One of the biggest discoveries of the past 50 years or so has been natural gas in shale found from Texas to Louisiana to Pennsylvania, supplies that are now being developed and exploited by super-independent energy companies rather than by the energy giants, Brian Habacivch, senior vice president of research and publications at Fellon-McCord & Associates LLC, Louisville, Ky., said....
