Some participants in the cold aluminum scrap market see hints of a thaw.
"We think things have bottomed out and we're accumulating units of higher purity, grades that are easy to dump in the marketplace" if the optimism is misplaced, said a source at a company owning a Midwest scrapyard. He noted that some of the yard's quotes, which had been below prices published in AMM, have risen.....
