Market forces and market-driven behavior are more important than ever, given the current economic crisis, representatives of six North American steel industry trade groups agreed at a meeting.
The groups included five major North American Free Trade Agreement (Nafta) steel associations and Latin America's Instituto Latinoamericano del Fierro y del Acero (Ilafa), which met in Cancun ahead of Ilafa's annual conference to discuss policies and goals established at a 2007 meeting in Florida that focused on mutual concerns and committed to certain goals, including support of rules-based free trade in steel and....
