PSC Metals’ earnings, sales surge in 3d qtr., 9 months

PSC Metals Inc. posted third-quarter net income of $19.7 million, nearly double earnings of $10.1 million in the same period last year, on sales that doubled to $406.6 million from $199.6 million.
The Cleveland-based scrap processor saw a similar improvement for the nine months ended Sept. 30, posting net income of $74.2 million vs. $27.1 million a year earlier on sales that jumped to $1.14 billion from $622.5 million, according to a 10-K report filed by Icahn Enterprises....
