Employee dies in fall at Alton Steel plant

A worker at Alton Steel Inc. fell from a roof to his death Wednesday, police and sources at the steel bar producer and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) confirmed.
A spokesman for the Alton, Ill.-based company said that Jeff Pace, 27, was replacing roof panels with a co-worker, both of whom were harnessed at the time of the accident. He noted....
