The "Great Mentioner" is working overtime these days trying to forecast who will be holding the key posts in the new Obama administration come January.
Metals industry insiders are watching a decision that will be made further down the line the new U.S. Trade Representative to replace Susan Schwab. So far it's anybody's guess. Two leading contenders are Daniel K. Tarullo, a Georgetown University professor who served in the Clinton administration, and Lael Brainard, an international economics aide also during the Clinton years. Brainard represented the Obama campaign during policy debates on trade held in Washington in recent months, so she certainly figures to be in the running. But, the fact....
