ISRI members may face suit on New York Superfund site

At least two Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) members have received a threatening letter telling them that under the federal Superfund law they are liable for damages for the cleanup of the Consolidated Iron & Metal site in Newburgh, N.Y.
The letter implies that a lawsuit will be filed in a U.S. District Court seeking contribution for cleanup activities at the now defunct Consolidated Iron & Metal scrapyard.....
