Worker at Chicago Heights Steel killed

The cause of an accident at Chicago Heights Steel Corp., Chicago Heights, Ill., that resulted in the death of a 32-year old worker on Monday is under investigation.
Chicago Heights Police Commander Michael Brink said Wednesday that Heladio Ramirez was operating an overhead crane when the cable for the crane broke.
"There was a steel beam (on the crane), 10 feet long and weighing 3,000 to 4,000 pounds, plus the crane box," which weighs at least 300 pounds, all of which "fell 25 to 30 feet, struck Ramirez in the right leg, bounced and struck him in the face," he said.....
