Metalformers take on darker business view PMA survey

Metalforming companies in the United States and Canada expect further deterioration in business conditions during the next three months, the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) said Tuesday in its latest Business Conditions Report.
Of the 157 metalforming companies surveyed in the United States and Canada, 70 percent said they anticipate a further downturn compared with 67 percent who forecast declining conditions last month and 38 percent in November 2007.
The rise to 70 percent marks the highest level of pessimism seen in the survey during the past two years or more.....
