Industrial production posts slight turnaround in October

Industrial production rebounded in October, rising 1.3 percent, after falling a revised 3.7 percent in September, the U.S. Federal Reserve Board reported Monday.

Output in both months were deeply impacted by Hurricanes Gustav and Ike, as well as a strike at aircraft manufacturer Boeing Co., Chicago.

Manufacturing production, which dropped a revised 3.7 percent in September, rose 0.6 percent in October.....
