Hoping to give the auto industry a shot in the arm, Turret Steel Industries Inc., Leetsdale, Pa., and sister company Sunbelt-Turret Steel Inc., Charlotte, N.C., are offering employees a $250 cash incentive to purchase or lease a new American car or pickup truck.

Employees will receive an additional $250 if the vehicle is produced by one of the domestic Big Three automakers—General Motors Corp., Detroit; Ford Motor Co., Dearborn, Mich.; and Chrysler LLC, Auburn Hills, Mich.—and can obtain another $250 if the vehicle's fuel efficiency is rated as at least 20 miles per gallon in city driving and 25 mpg on the highway.....
