Atlas Energy Resources LLC, Pittsburgh, is using a new technique to double production from its Marcellus Shale properties.
Atlas Energy's two-stage frac design, in use at five of its vertical wells in the Marcellus Shale, a formation containing natural gas that stretches through Pennsylvania and adjacent states, averaged initial production rates....
