Rifkin to get tax break to aid move to Mich. riverfront site

Rifkin Scrap Iron & Metal Co. will receive $282,800 in tax breaks to ease its move from a riverfront site, slated for residential and commercial use, to another Saginaw, Mich., property being treated for pollution problems.

The scrap processor will end up with 18 acres, up from the current 10 acres. The move has been penciled in to begin next summer and last about a year. The company hopes to invest $18 million in the new location.....
