Shanghai Jinneng puts silicon exports to US on ice

Shanghai Jinneng International Trade Co. Ltd., the Chinese silicon trading house with the lowest U.S. anti-dumping duty, has halted exports to the United States due to low prices.
"Jinneng decided to halt exports indefinitely as it had failed to settle a satisfactory price with its U.S. customers for 2009 supplies," a source close to the company said.
Although Jinneng executives declined to comment, a company executive confirmed that it usually bases quarterly prices with U.S. customers on spot prices.....
