Glencore zinc mines in Tenn., Peru suspend operations

Swiss trading house Glencore International AG has suspended operations at its 30,000-tonne-per-year Rosaura zinc mine in Peru and will put its 80,000-tonne-per-year zinc mines in east Tennessee on care and maintenance next February.
The three operations in Tennessee, which are operated by Glencore subsidiary East Tennessee Zinc Co. LLC (ETZC), will stop production Feb. 3, according to an announcement made to the local press. ....
