Teck to continue with some projects in Canada, Chile

Despite recently announcing a massive debt-reduction plan for the New Year that includes the suspension of dividends and the shelving of projects—including withdrawing from its joint-venture Petaquilla copper project in Panama—Canadian miner Teck Cominco Ltd. plans to continue with the development of a number of other base metal operations throughout Canada and Chile.....
