Revett shutting copper mine if prices don’t improve soon

Revett Minerals Inc. has told employees that it will shutter its Troy copper-silver mine near Libby, Mont., in February if metal prices do not post a significant recovery.

The announcement came just two weeks after workers took a voluntary pay cut in an effort to increase the Spokane Valley, Wash.-based company's cash flow and stall a permanent shutdown.....
